WiFi vs Ethernet — Can I Run Both at the Same Time?
This is a very common question. The answer is: no, not simultaneously.
According to TSC's official specification, a WiFi-equipped TSC printer can be configured for either Ethernet (wired) or WiFi (wireless) operation — but not both at the same time. The rule is:
- If an Ethernet cable is connected and active, the Ethernet interface takes priority and WiFi is inactive
- If no Ethernet cable is connected, the WiFi interface is active
This means you can switch between wired and wireless simply by plugging or unplugging the Ethernet cable — no reconfiguration needed.
Step-by-Step: How to Connect Your TSC Printer to WiFi
Step 1 — Confirm Your Printer Has WiFi
- Power on the printer and press the Menu button
- Navigate to Interface or Network settings
- If you see a WLAN or WiFi option — your printer supports wireless
- If no WiFi option is visible, a WiFi field kit can be added — contact Infinite Solutions
Step 2 — Access the Printer's Network Settings
- On the printer's control panel, press Menu
- Navigate to Interface → WLAN
- Set WLAN to Enable

The IP address may have changed if your router assigns addresses dynamically (DHCP). Fix: Set a static IP address on the printer via Menu → Interface → WLAN → IP Setting → Static. Assign an IP outside your router's DHCP range (e.g. 192.168.1.200). Update the printer's IP in Windows Devices and Printers.
Printer does not connect to WiFi after entering credentials
Check: (1) SSID is correct — case-sensitive, no extra spaces. (2) Password is correct. (3) Security mode matches your router (WPA2 is standard). (4) Your router's 2.4GHz band is active — some TSC WiFi modules support 2.4GHz only, not 5GHz.
Print jobs sent over network are slow

Printer shows IP address of 0.0.0.0
The printer hasn't received an IP from your router. Check that the SSID and password are correct, the WiFi module is properly seated, and the router is within range. Try moving the printer closer to the router and re-entering credentials.
