- PEX-1221 — 4-inch, 203 dpi, Right Hand
- PEX-1131 — 4-inch, 300 dpi, Left Hand
- PEX-1231 — 4-inch, 300 dpi, Right Hand
- PEX-1161 — 4-inch, 600 dpi, Left Hand
- PEX-1261 — 4-inch, 600 dpi, Right Hand
The first digit after "PEX-1" tells you hand orientation (1 = left, 2 = right), and the next digit tells you the resolution family (2 = 203 dpi, 3 = 300 dpi, 6 = 600 dpi). "Hand" refers to which side the media exits from — a detail that matters enormously once the engine is bolted into an applicator, because getting the orientation wrong usually means re-fabricating a mounting bracket rather than a quick fix.
Then there's the suffix. A code like PEX-1131-A001-0001 is the base wired configuration (Ethernet, USB, RS-232, GPIO).
