This is the Printronix T6304e 4-inch industrial label printer supplied with a batch rewinder. The rewinder takes the printed labels back onto a core inside the printer instead of letting them pile up at the tear bar, so a full run can go straight to an applicator, a packing line or storage. The printer uses thermal transfer or direct thermal at 300 dpi across a 4.1-inch (104 mm) print width, at up to 12 inches per second.

How it compares
The batch rewinder is different from a peel-off kit. The T6304e with peel-off kit separates each label from its liner for an operator to apply by hand, while this version keeps labels on the liner and rewinds the whole batch. For tear-off only, the standard T6304e is enough; a 4-inch batch rewinder can be added later.
Frequently asked questions
Batch rewinder or peeler?
Choose the rewinder when labels are used later or by an applicator; choose a peeler when an operator applies each label at the printer.
Does it need a ribbon?
Only for thermal transfer. For rolls stored before use, a wax/resin or resin ribbon gives the most durable print; see our ribbons.
Will it print our existing ZPL label formats?
In most cases yes. Nine industry-standard printer emulations are pre-installed, so the printer can usually replace an older industrial printer without changing the host software or label files. We recommend a test print of your formats before roll-out, and we can help with that.
