The Printronix T6604 is the 600 dpi, 4-inch model of the T6000e enterprise industrial platform, for very small labels where every dot counts. It prints by thermal transfer or direct thermal at 600 dpi (24 dots/mm) across a 4.1-inch (104 mm) print width, at up to 6 inches per second.

How it compares
For most product and carton labels the T6304e at 300 dpi and 12 ips is faster and is the better value. Pick the 600 dpi model only when labels are very small or carry codes that 300 dpi cannot print cleanly. The 203 dpi T6204e is the choice for shipping labels at the highest speed.
Frequently asked questions
Why choose 600 dpi?
At 600 dpi each dot is a quarter of the area of a 300 dpi dot, so very small barcodes and text keep sharp edges and scan reliably. It matters on labels under about 15 mm and for small 2D codes.
Which ribbon should I use?
For fine detail on synthetic labels, a resin or wax/resin ribbon gives the sharpest, most durable result. Direct thermal labels also work for short-life uses. Browse our thermal transfer ribbons.
Will it print our existing ZPL label formats?
In most cases yes. Nine industry-standard printer emulations are pre-installed, so the printer can usually replace an older industrial printer without changing the host software or label files. We recommend a test print of your formats before roll-out, and we can help with that.
